Elissa Benson

Elissa Benson graduated from Leeds School of Physiotherapy in 1987 before choosing to specialise in Adult Neurology. She now has over thirty years experience in the management of both acute and long term neurological conditions having worked in several NHS settings prior to moving into private practice.

Elissa has a specific interest in the management of stroke and acquired brain injury especially in a community setting, whilst also working extensively in the management of long term conditions including Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

Elissa joined the team at Tonbridge Clinic in July 2015 accepting referrals for people neurological conditions and general mobility issues. She is able to assess and treat people in their own homes or in the clinic depending on which is the most appropriate.

Elissa is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council HCPC and is a member of The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN)

Outside of work, Elissa has a growing family and enjoys running and yoga.
