FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive treatment at my first appointment?

Yes you will. The initial appointments for Osteopathy and Physiotherapy are longer to allow the therapist to take a full medical history and make an initial assessment.  If you feel that you may need longer than the allotted time, then please ask when booking your appointment.

What should I wear?

It is important that you wear appropriate underwear as it may be necessary to remove your outer garments for examination and treatment. We advise that you wear comfortable clothing for your appointment.

How much will it cost?

Our therapists have their own list of charges. Please telephone the Clinic on 01732 350255 for a current price list.

Can I use my medical insurance?

Yes. The Tonbridge Clinic is registered with all the major Health Insurance Companies. You need to check whether your insurer needs a GP/Consultant referral before booking your appointment.

Do I need to see my Doctor first?

No. You can self refer and we can usually arrange an appointment for you within 48 hours and often on the same day. If you are claiming for your treatment with a Health Insurance Company, you will need to check whether they require a GP/Consultant referral.

Can I stop my treatment sessions at any time?

Yes. You are able to stop treatments at any time. Health Insurance Companies will often authorise a certain number of treatments which will then need to be reviewed.

Can I bring someone with me?

You can bring someone with you to your appointment. They can come in with you or wait in our reception area. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We will, wherever possible provide a chaperone if you request this ahead of your appointment.

Is there anywhere to park?

We do have our own car park for patients and additional street parking is available nearby if the car park is full.
