Aishling Burke – Pelvic Care Physiotherapy

Aishling graduated from Northumbria University in 2007; registering with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Care Professions Council in the same year.  Her career began within the NHS working across The East Kent Community Trust in both musculoskeletal and Urogynae divisions.

During her time at university Aishling felt a strong desire to work within the field of women’s health and continence promotion.  After completing a musculoskeletal rotation Aishling was promoted to senior Physiotherapist within the Urogynae team. Initially treating women who presented with incontinence and prolapse conditions Aishling later began treating men following prostate surgery who experienced incontinence and erectile dysfunction.

Still working within the NHS 3 days a week, Aishling has completed numerous women’s health courses and has trained as a Pilates Instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).   In her spare time she runs after an excitable Springer spaniel and an even more boisterous toddler.
